After growing up within a cemetery from the age of seven Rodney entered the DeathCare industries in 1988 as a funeral director with Kenneth Maurer Funerals on Sydney’s lower North Shore.

Over tRodney Claxton 200he coming years he witnessed the change of the funeral directing and cemeteries and crematoria industries from a cottage industry to the dynamic and professional industry it is today offering choice and options only limited to one’s imagination and regulatory commitments.

Rodney moved from the private sector (Funeral Directing) into local government managing a regional crematorium and three cemeteries for AlburyCity, his no-nonsense approach to the delivery of community expectations and fiscal sustainability were paramount whilst creating meaningful memorialisation for families.

Rodney joined Everlon in 2010 as a Regional Manager and shortly after was promoted to the role of National Sales Manager. Rodney’s vision for the need to supply fresh and modern memorialisation concepts that connect with the landscape and the inclusion of public artworks for the cemetery and crematoria sector has been extremely well received across the industry both within Australia and Internationally.

Rodney oversees Everlon’s in-house Cemetery Design, Industrial Design and Graphic Design teams whilst working closely with clients to achieve the best possible project for their organisation.

Rodney will be available at the CCANSW Parramatta 2019 conference to discuss any existing or new memorialisation needs.
