Application process:

    • On receipt of the Membership Information Kit, complete the enclosed forms and return to the CCANSW Secretariat

    • Applicants must source a Proposer and Seconder prepared to support their nomination. Both must be a Nominated Representative of a current financial Full Member, who has been a member for more than 2 years.

  • Note that the CCANSW does not assist in sourcing a Nominator and Seconder. If an application is received with no Nominator or Seconder, it will be returned to the applicant. No application can progress without all criteria being met.

  • On receipt of your membership application, the CCANSW Secretariat will issue a pro-rata invoice covering your membership subscription.

  • Finalise your membership subscription payment via an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), to the nominated CCANSW account. Payment of your subscription must be received prior to membership approval.

Approval Process:

  • Details of the application will be verified.

  • The CCANSW Secretariat will forward a letter confirming receipt of application.

  • Notice of application will be provided to all CCANSW members, giving members the opportunity to comment on the application.

  • The membership committee will assess any objections or comments about application.

  • Membership committee will determine whether to recommend approval or rejection of the nomination, along with a recommendation as to the appropriate classification and category of Membership for the applicant.

  • Applicant will be advised in writing of the outcome of their membership application.

  • If the application is accepted, the member’s details will be added to the CCANSW database.

  • Admission to membership of the Association shall be conditional on the proposed member paying into the funds of the Association the joining fee and annual subscription for the current year and upon the proposed member agreeing to be bound by the Constitution of the Association, and agreeing to such other conditions for admission to membership as may be determined by the Association from time to time.
